It has been a while since my last post, the amount of information published on Resveratrol is staggering and it has taken me a few days to sift through much of it to find the information below.
The excerpt below is taken from extensive studies published by Oregon State University, Linus Pauling Institute, Micronutrient Research for Optimum Health, Micronutrient Information Center which states that the dose of the then tested Resveratrol supplement pills was from 10 to 50 mg of Resveratrol, that compares to the Liquid Resveratrol dose of “Rejuvetrol™ Patent-Pending Blend 1,290 mg”.
Much more information is posted on the linked web sites of these two companies.
“Supplements
Most resveratrol supplements available in the U.S. contain extracts of the root of Polygonum cuspidatum, also known as Hu Zhang or kojo-kon (102). Red wine extracts and red grape extracts containing resveratrol and other polyphenols are also available in the U.S. as dietary supplements. Resveratrol supplements may contain anywhere from 10-50 mg of resveratrol, but the effective doses for chronic disease prevention in humans are not known.”
