Another instruction from Solomon
We started some weeks ago at Proverbs chapter 1 and now we are up to chapter 7. This Sunday the entire chapter admonishes us to pay attention and remember what we are taught and tells a story about a young man who didn’t listen and went astray to visit a harlot. As you can see, again the way to LongLife is not the way this young man chose. Instead he chose the path to the harlot which “is the way to Sheol, Descending to the chambers of death.” Prov 7: 27
If we want to live a long life we must follow the instruction placed before us. It’s not just what we eat that keeps us here on Earth. We can eat all the right stuff and walk in front of a moving bus and just end up a well preserved corps. In Proverbs Chapter 7 we see that it is healthy to use common sense and stay out of harms way.
